That brings us back to is this during our 30 min per day or in addition to. In addition to would make for a strong finish to these 12 weeks. I also think biking should be 2 or 3 miles per point.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12290761419715991511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7929157002407118738.post-69834131425950453762010-08-16T10:09:34.373-07:002010-08-16T10:09:34.373-07:00My vote is a point per mile, with a max of 13.My vote is a point per mile, with a max of 13.Larahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09051780765300427426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7929157002407118738.post-23818098240957072352010-08-15T14:53:37.832-07:002010-08-15T14:53:37.832-07:00I would say that 1 point per mile walked or run wo...I would say that 1 point per mile walked or run would be very interesting.. Biking is too easy, so I would say 2 or 3 miles per point.. but for those of us that have full time jobs.. we would be put at a disadvantage.. We couldn't exercise during the day, like some that stay home do. So you would have to figure out what a reasonable number of hours we could work out and go from there.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06989294701480243170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7929157002407118738.post-52011196446962260512010-08-14T21:46:51.358-07:002010-08-14T21:46:51.358-07:00I don't think we should change the whole struc...I don't think we should change the whole structure of the challenge in the last week. Yes, it makes a difference that I am tied for first, but I worked really hard for all those points and never missed a single one, many of those being much harder to earn than just walking a mile, so all of that would be pointless if the last week I lose because I don't have a treadmill and live in Phoenix so can only run/walk a limited amount (my usual schedule has me running at least 26/week).Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12290761419715991511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7929157002407118738.post-22920531113760175432010-08-14T19:10:00.074-07:002010-08-14T19:10:00.074-07:00I would vote for run/walking 2.5 miles a day or le...I would vote for run/walking 2.5 miles a day or letting everyone get a point for every mile they go, which would really turn this contest into anybody's game.Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01069357588062678490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7929157002407118738.post-69504328465952760532010-08-13T21:58:41.516-07:002010-08-13T21:58:41.516-07:00My training schedule has me running a half maratho...My training schedule has me running a half marathon straight that week, so it doesn't really make a difference to me. I think that putting an endless number of points for the week would make it difficult because then you get into wearing pedometers which not everyone will have and shouldn't have to go get. Personally, I'm not a huge a fan of the limitless points during the last week. Of course I would go all out, but it changes the idea of the whole challenge to not have a maximum number of points. I don't think it's that big of a deal to go with the "chip away at it" method. Honestly, if you're going to run 13.2 miles straight, you're most likely going to be running that much little by little during the week as you train, so it won't be 7 points earned in a day.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12290761419715991511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7929157002407118738.post-51365835877073864662010-08-13T18:31:04.340-07:002010-08-13T18:31:04.340-07:00hmmm. this could be interesting. we could keep t...hmmm. this could be interesting. we could keep the half marathon idea and have it be worth 7 points, or use this week as a tie breaker week and give points for miles run, walked or biked... hmm....Amberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11764326163129910518noreply@blogger.com
